Send your TikTok events from our servers through TikTok's Events API, so ad blockers can't stop them. You need a Pixel ID and an Events API access token. There's no TikTok sign-in.
1. Get a Pixel ID
New pixel (do this if TikTok's Shopify app is installed)
- In TikTok Ads Manager, open Tools → Events and click Connect data source.
- Choose Web and enter your domain.
- Pick Manual setup → Next, then TikTok Pixel + Events API.
- Name it PixelRelay and create it. Skip the code install steps. PixelRelay adds the browser tag itself.
Existing pixel
Only if TikTok's Shopify app doesn't use it, or you're setting up the shared-pixel fallback.
- In TikTok Events Manager, open Data sources.
- Copy the Pixel ID from your pixel's card.
2. Generate an access token
- New pixel: the setup guide's Implement Events API step has a Generate access token button.
- Any pixel: open it → Settings → Events API → Generate Access Token.
Copy the token right away. TikTok doesn't save it for you.
3. Connect in PixelRelay
- In PixelRelay, go to Connections → TikTok Pixel → Connect.
- Paste your Pixel ID and Access Token.
- Leave TikTok's native Sales Channel app shares this same pixel ID unticked when PixelRelay has its own pixel. Tick it only for the shared-pixel fallback.
- Click Connect.
Saving doesn't start sending yet.
Turn off your old TikTok tracking
If a GTM tag, custom pixel, theme code or another app also sends to this pixel, TikTok counts those events twice. Follow Turn off old TikTok tracking to switch them off.
Turn it on
In Guided setup → Switch & enable, work through Switch over TikTok, click Mark as done on each item, then click Enable TikTok tracking straight away.
Check it's working
- Event status in Guided setup shows when TikTok last accepted an event from PixelRelay.
- Reports → Event log lists each event and whether TikTok accepted it.
- In TikTok Events Manager, open the pixel PixelRelay uses and browse your store or wait for an order. Check the date range includes today.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Pixel ID is required or Access Token is required | Both are needed the first time. When editing, leave Access Token blank to keep the saved one. |
| Test mode on the TikTok Pixel card | Edit, tick Clear the saved test event code and resume production TikTok events, Save. |
| TikTok shows roughly twice the events you'd expect | Two senders on one pixel. See Turn off old TikTok tracking. |
