The event log shows every event PixelRelay captured and whether each platform accepted it. Use it to confirm a specific order or event reached a specific platform.
Where: Reports → Event log. Home has a shorter Recent events list with the same statuses.
Check one order
- Open Reports → Event log.
- Set the date range so it covers the order. How far back you can look depends on your plan: 7 days on Launch, 30 on Growth, 90 on Pro and Agency.
- Set the event type dropdown to Purchase.
- Find the order by its order ID or value.
- Hover each icon in the Networks (click-ID) column. The tooltip says what that network did with it.
If the order isn't listed at all, PixelRelay never received it. That's a capture problem, not a delivery problem. See Events aren't reaching a platform.
The columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Time | When PixelRelay captured the event |
| Order | The Shopify order ID, for purchases |
| Event | The event name. Several rows for the same event, minute and networks are grouped, with a count like ×2. |
| Networks (click-ID) | One icon per network the event was sent to, with a coloured dot for the result |
| Status | The overall result for the event |
| Order value | The order value, for purchases |
Three dropdowns filter the list: event type, network and status. Set the status to Needs attention (failed or partial) to see only problems. Download CSV exports the events that match your filters (up to 200 rows), including each event's ID.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Every network accepted it, and every one of them replied with a receipt for that exact event |
| Delivered | Accepted, but at least one network doesn't send a per-event receipt |
| Partially delivered | At least one network accepted it and at least one didn't. The row says which need attention. |
| Not accepted | No network accepted it |
| Pending | No result recorded yet |
Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Ads and LinkedIn send a receipt PixelRelay can check, so they can reach Confirmed. GA4, Klaviyo, Segment, Reddit, Microsoft Ads and Pinterest only say "received", so the best they get is Delivered. That's a weaker receipt, not a weaker delivery.
The dot next to each icon follows the same idea: green for a receipt, blue for "received", amber for not accepted. The tooltip also says whether the visitor came from that network's ad click. No click ID on an organic or direct visitor is normal.
Delivered or Confirmed means the platform got the event. It doesn't mean it already shows in that platform's reports.
Not accepted
The platform replied and refused the event. Hover the icon for the platform's reason. Common causes:
- The access token expired or was revoked. Edit the platform under Connections and save it again. For Google Ads, use Reconnect Google account.
- The platform rejected the event's contents, for example a wrong pixel, dataset or conversion action ID.
PixelRelay retries temporary failures a few times over about half an hour. If a row is still Not accepted after that, it won't be retried, so fix the cause. New events will go through once it's fixed.
Hydrogen stores
For Google Ads on a Hydrogen store, the tooltip can describe the browser tag instead of the server call, for example "The Hydrogen storefront dispatched this Google Ads conversion tag". If the tag couldn't fire, it shows why in brackets: blocked (an ad blocker or your Content-Security-Policy), config_failed (the tag loaded but has no destination set), consent_denied or unsupported. That only records the browser attempt, not whether Google accepted it.
Browsing events are hidden by default
Page, product and cart views aren't listed unless you clear Hide page & product views above the table. They're still captured either way. The default lives in Settings → Analytics display. See Dashboard display preferences.
