Orders from a mobile app (like Tapcart) or in-store POS often show up as Unassigned in GA4. That's expected. This page explains why, and how to stop sending those orders if you'd rather.
Why they show as Unassigned
GA4 ties a sale to a visit using cookies your storefront sets in the shopper's browser. Mobile app and POS orders never load your storefront, so there's no visit to tie them to.
PixelRelay still sends these orders to your connected platforms. The sale counts. It just can't be linked to a campaign.
There's one exception. With the default Smart attribution mode, Google Ads and Microsoft Ads only get purchases that have a click ID, and app and POS orders don't have one. See Choose which networks get each sale.
Stop sending a sales channel
To keep app or POS orders out of your platforms altogether:
- Open Settings → Filters.
- Under Suppressed order sources, type the channel's source name, for example
tapcart, and select Add. Or use a Quick add button (tapcart, pos, web). - Select Save suppressed sources.
The name is Shopify's order source name in lower case. To undo it, select the × on the name and save again.
What suppressing does
Orders from a suppressed source aren't sent to any network. They don't count as a problem in Reports → Overview → Purchases & delivery either.
That report also leaves out POS, draft (manual) and test orders when it counts your orders, whether or not you suppress them.
If you only want to keep certain products out of your platforms, use Exclude products from conversions.
