Reddit

Send your store's purchases and shopping events to Reddit from our servers through the Reddit Conversions API, so ad blockers can't stop them. You need your Pixel ID and a Conversions API access token.

  1. 1. Get your details from Reddit

    1. Log in to Reddit Ads and open Events Manager in the left menu.
    2. Select your pixel and copy its Pixel ID. It starts with a2_.
    3. In Events Manager, click Conversions API in the sidebar, then Generate Access Token.
    4. Give the token a name (like PixelRelay) and click Generate.
    5. Copy the token. Reddit only shows it once.

No pixel yet? Create one in Events Manager first.

  2. 2. Connect in PixelRelay

    1. Open Connections and click Connect on Reddit Ads.
    2. Paste the Pixel ID and the Access Token. Both are required.
    3. Account ID (optional) is only stored for reference. You can leave it blank.
    4. Click Connect.

Saving doesn't start sending yet. PixelRelay doesn't test the token when you save, so a wrong one shows up later as Not accepted in Reports → Event log.

Turn off your old Reddit tracking

If the Reddit Ads app, a GTM tag, a custom pixel or theme code already sends the same events, you can count sales twice. Follow Turn off old Reddit tracking to switch them off.

Turn it on

In Guided setup → Switch & enable, work through Switch over Reddit, click Mark as done on each item, then click Enable Reddit tracking straight away.

Check it's working

  • In PixelRelay, open Reports → Event log and hover the Reddit icon on a recent event. Delivered means Reddit accepted the request.
  • In Reddit Ads, open Events Manager and check your pixel's events. Reddit can take a little while to show them.
