Shopify app settings
Quick start

Shopify app settings

A quick tour of the PixelRelay app in your Shopify admin.

The menu

  • Home: what PixelRelay sent recently, and anything that needs you.
  • Guided setup: connect a platform, switch it over and turn it on. See Install on Shopify.
  • Connections: add, edit or disconnect platforms, and set up the checkout tag.
  • Reports: the event log, showing what each platform received.
  • Settings: what PixelRelay sends, and where. See below.
  • Plan & Billing: change your plan and see your usage.

Connections

Click Connect to add a platform. On a connected one, the pencil edits it and the unlink icon disconnects it. Disconnecting stops sending straight away, and you can reconnect any time. Each platform's guide shows what to paste in.

The Checkout tag row at the top is a snippet you add to Shopify once. See Add the checkout tag.

Settings

Overview shows every setting on one screen. Click a card to change it.

Relay

Send events to connected platforms is the master switch. Turn it off to pause all sending without disconnecting anything. Who tracks each network? picks who sends to each platform: PixelRelay, or your existing setup. See Pause PixelRelay and choose who tracks each network.

Attribution

Smart (the default) sends every purchase to Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit and Pinterest. Google Ads and Microsoft Ads only get purchases from their own ad clicks. Broad sends every purchase everywhere. See Choose which networks get each sale.

Filters

Leave products out (Exclude products) or skip orders from sources like POS (Mobile app & POS orders).

Storefront

Liquid or Hydrogen. PixelRelay picks this at install, so only change it if it guessed wrong. See the Hydrogen quickstart.

Google Consent Mode is on by default, so PixelRelay follows each shopper's consent choice. Under Your consent tool, pick the cookie banner you use. See Privacy & consent.

Analytics display

These only change what you see in reports, never what PixelRelay sends. See Dashboard display preferences.

What PixelRelay adds to your store

  • Web pixel: added when you save your first platform. It captures checkout events.
  • App embed (PixelRelay Pixel): captures storefront events like product views and add-to-carts. You switch it on in the theme editor.
  • Checkout tag: the custom pixel you add once from Connections.
  • Order data: purchases come straight from your Shopify orders.

Hydrogen stores use the PixelRelay npm package instead of the app embed.
